Paddle Nolin-May

at Dog Creek Boat Ramp
  
Before the summer boat traffic hits the Nolin River Lake, enjoy the serenity of the lake and take a scenic trip by canoe or kayak from Dog Creek Boat Ramp up Dog Creek branch and back.  This beautiful area on the lake is surrounded by gorgeous trees, rock outcroppings, farm land and more.  After your paddle, we will gather togeher for an informal cookout, games and music at the Dog Creek Recreation Area. 
 
Reservations must be made by April 27, 2012.
Storm re-book date will be May 19, 2012.

Rent a canoe or bring your own canoe/kayak.
Special thanks to Big Buffalo Crossing for supplying the rental canoes.
Camping is available at Dog Creek Campgrounds for a small fee.

  • 1:00pm - Meet at Dog Creek Boat Ramp
  • 1:15pm - Put canoes/kayaks in the water
  • 1:45pm - Water safety tips
  • 2:00pm - Start our paddle. Ranger Carl Suk will lead the trip and provide information along the way.
  • 5:00pm - Return to Dog Creek Boat Ramp
  • 5:30pm - Cookout, music, and games
