Volunteer Opportunities

Our 12th annual Lakeshore Clean-up event will take place on September 19, 2020. We need volunteers to pick up shoreline litter, volunteers to use their personal pontoon boats to shuttle "pickers" from boat ramps to clean-up locations and back, volunteers to staff registration tables, volunteers to help set up and take down tents and tables, and more. If you or your organization would like to help in this crucial event or just want more information, contact the Friends of Nolin Lake Events Coordinator by email at events@friendsofnolinlake.org.

Friends of Nolin Lake is collaborating with KY Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources and the US Army Corps of Engineers on a Fish Habitat Improvement and Shoreline Restoration project. A grant to fund the project was approved in October 2018. We will need volunteers to build and place structures for fish habitats, volunteers to plant shoreline vegetation, and volunteers for other tasks. See this page for more information.

If you're interested in volunteering for this project, please contact us at the following email and let us know. We'll keep you up to date on plans and dates for the work.

There are many opportunities during the year to volunteer with Friends of Nolin Lake. Check back here for upcoming events and volunteer needs.
